Day 1: INTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL IN LIMA

Upon Arrival in Lima, reception at the airport by our representative and transfer to the hotel.
After lunch, city tour of Lima including a guided visit to the cathedral, the Main Square and the San Francisco Catacombs .No meals included.

 

Day 2: LIMA – CUZCO: Sightseeing tour and visit to nearby ruins

Breakfast in your hotel.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Cuzco, the ancient Inca capital. After the one hour flight, reception and transfer to the selected hotel. In the afternoon, we will visit the City of Cuzco on a guided sightseeing tour visiting the Main Square, the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha. Then, we drive out of the City to visit the Inca sites of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco, famous for its enormous carved stones, some of them standing over 9m/30 ft high and weighing over 130 tons. Transfer to your hotel. Lunch and dinner on your own.

 

Day 3: CUZCO – MACHU PICCHU - CUZCO

The day starts with an early morning transfer to Cuzco train station for a 3 ½ hours journey to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as "The Lost City of the Incas" one of the best known examples of surviving Inca architecture. Arrive at Aguas Calientes Station followed by a 30-minute bus drive, climbing 6km of winding road, to the marvellous Citadel. Upon arrival, you will participate in a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. After the tour you'll have time to stroll around the Archaeological Site at your leisure. Late afternoon return to Cusco. Transfer to your hotel. Lunch and dinner on your own.

 

Day 4: CUZCO - PUNO

Breakfast in your hotel.
Transfer to the bus station. Lunch on board and enjoying the enchanting scenery. (If you prefer, you can fly to Juliaca and transfer to Puno). Reception and transfer to hotel. Dinner on your own.

 

Day 5: PUNO – Lake Titicaca

Breakfast in your hotel.
After breakfast, full day tour by boat to the island's of Uros and Taquile on Lake Titicaca. A tour of the reed islands of Uros before continuing to Taquile, where members of this self-supporting island will welcome you and offer a glimpse into their ancient traditions and customs. Lunch on the island and an opportunity for some spectacular views over the haunting beauty of Lake Titicaca. Return to Puno and your hotel. Dinner on your own.

 

Day 6: PUNO – LIMA

Breakfast in your hotel.
Early wake up to enjoy a spectacular sunrise before heading towards Juliaca, and an excursion to the Silluastani towers. These ancient funereal towers dating back to pre-inca times are examples of the most ancient cultures found on the altiplano. Transfer to Juliaca airport for the return flight back to Lima and connection with your international flight back home.
